Just finished reading Isaiah today and I found it so interesting how in the message it refers to idols as little or no-gods.

We make idols in our life and determine what they are and are not capable of. We determine how and when they make us feel happy, entertained, secure, confident, and even powerful. See that’s the funny thing about idols is that because we pick it, we by default become the one we worship because whatever we idolize makes us feel in charge.

Idols come in all shapes and sizes and can ruin far more of what God is doing inside of us than we even realize.

We can’t take lightly the obsession of idols, the cheap counterfeit we choose instead of the Master.

With this said, my action step of scaling back from watching cooking shows is forthcoming.
